3.1.II OVERLOADING – Provides the required resistances for the elements to protect against falling from a height.*

UNI 7697: 2015 *

February 2015
UNI safety standard for the use of flat glass in construction. Provides information on the types of glass to be used for balustrades. *

UNI 11678:2017 *

15 May 2017
“Glass for the building industry – Glass cladding elements with fall protection function – Resistance to linear static load and dynamic load – Test Methods”

UNI standard
The standard defines the test methods to determine the behaviour of linearly distributed static loads and dynamic loads of glass cladding elements with fall protection function.

DM 236 *

14 June 1989
Technical requirements necessary to ensure accessibility, adaptability and visitability of private buildings and public housing subsidised and facilitated, for the purpose of overcoming and eliminating architectural barriers.
Provides the minimum height of the railings and balustrades in addition to the indications on the necessity and types of handrail.

Certifications

High safety standards
All products of the Garda system are tested in accredited laboratories of the Ministry of Public Works and have passed tests on dynamic and static loads up to 4.5 kN/m (up to 300 kg/m).

Istituto Giordano
In addition, the balustrades have passed tests, obtaining a declaration of conformity in compliance with the current technical standards for constructions.

ABP Test
The Garda System complies with the German standard rules DIN 18008, as it passed the required tests and obtained an Allgemeines Bauaufsichtliches Prufzeugnis.
The ABP is the general construction test certificate issued by institutions accredited by the German authorities in this field. Only products that obtain this certification can be distributed on the German market.

Florida Building Code 1618.4.6
Garda SP-AP 200 and Garda SP-AP 300 have passed Miami-Dade Impact tests obtaining declaration of conformity according to the Florida Building Code 1618.4.6 for Wind Zone 4 (High Velocity Hurricane Zone).
